Gateway Utility has not increased its rates since January 1, 2021. It is now necessary to increase rates to cover the increases in costs we have experienced as the City of Franklin and Mallory Valley Utility District have both increased their rates annually, and this shared cost burden must be distributed to our customers to ensure continuing delivery and payment of water, sewer, and city services. The new monthly rates will be increased to $18.50 for the first 1000 gallons. Subsequent water use in the same month will be billed at $9.25 per 1000 gallons. The same rate will apply for sewer.
Effective January 1, 2026, the following rate charges are to begin:
Water : $18.50 for the first 1000 gallons, then $9.25 for each additional 1000 gallons
Sewer : $18.50 for the first 1000 gallons, then $9.25 for each additional 1000 gallons.

Residents and Owners:
The annual Consumer Confidence Report for Gateway Utility is attached. All potable water for the Gateway community is provided by the Mallory Valley Utility District. Gateway Utility samples the water provided by Mallory Valley in order to make sure it is safe from harmful contaminates and is safe for human consumption. Two Bacteriological samples are pulled at designated sites within the Gateway community each month, THM (trihalomethane) and HAA (haloacetic acids) tests are pulled quarterly, and Chlorine Residual levels are checked each business day of the year. All tests for 2025 were negative for harmful contaminates.
